Cambodia Mission Trip

Friday, February 15, 2019 - Monday, February 25, 2019

Leader: Natalie Newby
Team Members: Adults with experience in being on ministry teams at church and preferably those who have been on mission trips before. Cost: $3300

Focus:
We will be serving and partnering with a local church and several different non-profits in reaching Cambodian people and building lives. Part of this work is with the vulnerable and impoverished and will touch many facets of anti-trafficking efforts. A large focus of this team will be prayer and intercession in various places and environments in the cities of Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.

Accommodations/Meals:
You will be staying in a hotel in Phnom Penh with an overnight in Siem Reap. Meals are provided at the hotel and several local restaurants.

Fundraising Deadlines:

  • $ 100 With Application
  • $1200 November 15th
  • $1000 December 15th
  • $1000 January 15th* (amount subject to change based on final flight pricing)

We will provide all fundraising supplies and an online fundraising platform for you as part of your trip cost.

Please note that deadlines are not flexible. All payment amounts must be made by posted date to retain your place on the team. The trip cost is tax-deductible, but funds are non-transferable and non-refundable.

What is Covered?
Roundtrip airfare from DFW to Phnom Penh, all transportation costs, all meals in Cambodia, medical and evacuation insurance, a 30 day devotional and a mission's t-shirt. Please bring spending money to cover souvenirs, personal items, and additional snacks/meals/drinks you might like to purchase in the airport or during the week.

Application Process:
Once you fill out your application it will be reviewed within 24 hours. You will be contacted to set up an interview appointment with the team leader for screening and approval. Once approved, you will receive an email with detailed next steps, which will include completing all needed consent forms. You will then need to schedule a meeting with the Missions Department to go over forms, notarize anything that requires a notary, and receive your fundraising supplies. Once that is complete, you can start fundraising and prepare for your trip!

Additional Information:
Team training is a vital part of your mission trip experience and is required to be a part of the team. You will be given meeting dates at your initial appointment and will be required to attend at least 80% of the meetings. We have found that team members who prioritize meeting attendance are far more prepared and have a much more fulfilling mission trip.

A valid passport that does not expire prior to September 1, 2019 is required for this team. Please apply for your passport as soon as your trip application is approved. Background checks are required for all team members.
