Freedom

Freedom Overview

God has an incredible, abundant life He wants you to live. Jesus said in John 10:10 that He came to give us life, and life in abundance. But all too often our struggles and the baggage of the past block us from experiencing that life. No more!

Freedom is designed to remove the things that hinder you from a deeper relationship with God so that you can live the life God has for you.

Freedom Groups meet in homes across the community as well as online.

Freedom includes two vital components:
1. A nine-week Small Group study
2. A powerful two-day event called Freedom Weekend

Your journey through Freedom begins with a Small Group. The nine-week Freedom study will help you deal with hurts and wounds of the past, generational patterns of sin in your life, areas of sin and bondage, and anything holding you back from the life God has for you. The study covers the following topics:

  • Living God's Way, Not Our Way
  • Walking in the Spirit
  • Living a Life of Surrender
  • Speaking Words of Life
  • Confessing God's Word
  • Becoming a Vessel God Can Use
  • Living as a Worshipper

Freedom Groups launch September 8th.

To join a Freedom Group, visit the Small Group Finder and select "Freedom" in the Sub-Category field.

If you have more questions or need assistance, please email  .

Interested in Freedom

Your journey through Freedom culminates with a Keller Campus two-day event called Freedom Weekend. Freedom Weekend is designed to allow you to encounter God in a personal and powerful way and to receive freedom in multiple areas of your life.

To participate in Freedom Weekend, you must join a Freedom Group and complete the nine-week study prior to attending the event. Since Freedom Weekend is an essential part of Freedom and the culmination of the study, if you are unable to commit to attending the weekend it would be better to wait until next semester to join a Freedom Group.

Next Freedom Weekend Dates:

  • Friday, August 2, 6:45pm-9:00pm
  • Saturday, August 3, 8:00am-2:30pm

Cost: $45 per participant - This covers the cost of food, materials, and event expenses. We ask all participants to complete a Freedom Group prior to attending Freedom Weekend.

Childcare: Childcare is not provided at the weekend.

F.A.Q.

How do I join a Freedom Group?

Check our online Small Groups directory at smallgroups.milestonechurch.com and select the Sub Category field “Freedom” to find a list of Freedom Groups taking place this semester.

When and where do Freedom Groups take place?

Freedom Groups take place at various locations throughout our community and at different days and times to fit your schedule.

When and where is Freedom Weekend?

Freedom Weekend takes place at our Keller Campus each semester following the nine-week study. Exact dates will be posted on our website at milestonechurch.com/freedom.

Is childcare provided at Freedom Weekend?

Due to the length of the event, childcare is not provided.

I want to participate, but I can't attend Freedom Weekend. What should I do?

Freedom Weekend is the culmination of the Freedom experience. If you know you won’t be able to attend, we recommend waiting and completing Freedom at a future time.

I will be out of town some during the study. Can I still participate?

As long as you won’t be out of town for Freedom Weekend (see previous question), it is okay to miss some of your Freedom Group meetings. However, we encourage participants not miss more than three Freedom Groups during the semester. If you anticipate missing more than three times, it is better to wait and take Freedom in the future.

What time commitment is required for Freedom?

Freedom involves more homework than the typical Small Group. The Freedom Workbook is broken into four days per week and should take approximately 10-20 minutes per day to complete.

What is the cost to participate?

Freedom Workbooks are provided at no cost to our Milestone Church participants. You will receive your Workbook at your first Freedom Group meeting.

Freedom Weekend costs $45 per person to attend. Check milestonechurch.com/freedom for Freedom Weekend dates and registration.

Is Freedom open to everyone 18+?

Yes! As long as you are excited to grow deeper in your relationship with God and can commit to complete the study, you are welcome to join us!

How can I lead a Freedom Group or serve at Freedom Weekend?

The first step for leading or serving in the Freedom ministry is to complete Freedom as a participant. We also ask all Freedom Leaders to complete the Growth Track prior to leading.
