ELEVATE UPDATE

Elevate is now regathering in-person every Wednesday at 7PM! Check-in will begin at 6:30pm with many safety measures in place to keep your student safe. Here are are the protocols that will be implemented:

  • We are asking all students, volunteers, and staff to wear masks to Elevate. Once students, volunteers, and staff get to their seats in the worship center, they can remove their masks for the duration of service. At dismissal, we will ask everyone to put their masks on again before leaving service. For your convenience, we will have masks available upon entry to the building for those who may not have brought one with them.
  • Thoroughly cleaning the entire building before and after Elevate
  • Sanitizing stations at the doors of the worship center

  • In the worship center, groups will have 2 seats between them and every other row will be blocked off

  • At dismissal, we will open up multiple exit points and dismiss students in sections to ensure enough space for everyone to dismiss safely

  • A touch-free environment with doors propped open and volunteers checking each student in manually, no name tags printed, no bracelets or stamps upon check-in, no message notes or pens, no offering buckets passed

  • Cafe closed

  • No before service or after service hang-outs

  • Dismissal / parent pick-up time will be 8:15pm
  • All staff and volunteers will be pre-screened with a health and wellness questionnaire prior to serving each week. All staff and volunteers will also be wearing masks at Elevate
  • Streaming services on our YouTube Channel for those who are not ready to attend service in person

In the last 14 days, if you or a family member have been experiencing any symptoms, we encourage you to watch Elevate Online.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are you enforcing safety protocols?

We are following all of the outlined guidelines for churches from the latest guidance from the State Governor’s office as well as the recommendations for houses of worship from the CDC.

Are you requiring people to wear masks?

We are asking all students, volunteers, and staff to wear masks to Elevate. Once students, volunteers, and staff get to their seats in the worship center, they can remove their masks for the duration of service. At dismissal, we will ask everyone to put their masks on again before leaving service. For your convenience, we will have masks available upon entry to the building for those who may not have brought one with them.

Are students going to be physically distanced? How are you going to enforce that?

We’re restructuring how Elevate service looks for the time being - from check-in, to service order, and dismissal. When students check in, they will be 6 feet apart in the check-in line and then enter into the worship center. In the worship center, groups will have 2 seats between them and every other row will be blocked off. At dismissal, we will open up multiple exit points and dismiss students in sections to ensure enough space for everyone to dismiss safely.
  • Those who drove (and siblings of drivers) dismissed first
  • Then dismiss by each grade at a time starting with 7th grade.
Will Elevate volunteers be pre-screened?

All staff and volunteers will be pre-screened with a health and wellness questionnaire prior to serving each week. All staff and volunteers will also be wearing masks at Elevate.

What extra measures are you taking to provide a sanitary environment at Elevate?

The worship center and commons area is being completely sanitized before and after Elevate services using an Electrostatic Sprayer and disinfectant wipes. There will also be hand sanitizer stations upon entry to the building and the worship center.

What if I’m not ready to attend Elevate in person?

We will still be live-streaming our services on Wednesdays on our YouTube Channel. If you are not comfortable attending Elevate in person, you can still watch online.

What is the plan if there is inclement weather?

If there is any inclement weather on a Wednesday night, our dismissal plan will be slightly adjusted. Drivers will still be dismissed first, and after that students will stay in their seats in the worship center until their parents arrive outside to pick them up.

What if I am attending Elevate for the first time?

We are so glad that you are going to be joining us at Elevate! We have a designated first time guest entrance for you to get checked in. Look for the black Elevate tent on the North side of the front entrance, and that’s where you can get checked in as a guest!

Milestone Students

At Milestone, we actively seek to transfer the hope of Jesus into the next generation of leaders. Elevate, our student ministry, provides environments where students can encounter God, connect with others, and align their lives with His mission. We are committed to providing an atmosphere that embraces young people in a totally unreligious, yet uncompromising way. Our heart is to see students meet Jesus, grow in their faith, and influence the culture and community around them.

Lift is our weekend student ministry class to equip students to walk out their faith. Currently, Lift is not meeting on the weekends in order to provide additional seating for those who attend weekend services with limited space in the worship center.

Small Groups are the place for your student to relationally connect and do life together with other students their age. As we are pursuing caution and safety with our Elevate students, we have adjusted our student small groups to meet both online through Zoom and in-person for this Fall semester. Student Small Groups

Our summer leadership program is for high school students, 9th-12th grade. Over 9 weeks in the summer, we take time to equip students and give them a tangible way to use their gifts and build their leadership.

Although this program will not take place in the summer of 2020, we are looking forward to summer 2021 of Next Gen Student Leadership!
