Children

What are my child’s next steps? Our friendship with Him will only grow as we spend more time with Him. Depending upon your child’s age, you will need to facilitate the amount of time spent learning more about Jesus.

Helping your child to grow in their relationship with Jesus is as easy as spending 10-15 minutes each day with them: engaging in the Bible, prayer, and worship. You don’t have to do all three every time, but the important thing is for your child to begin to encounter Jesus each day. As your child grows, it is a good idea to have them spend some time alone with God and talk with you about it afterward.

  1. Bible - Read stories to your child or have them read to you.  We recommend beginning in the gospel of John in the Bible your child received at baptism. It is broken into small stories that are easy to read and discuss. (Another good resource is The Jesus Storybook Bible.)
  2. Prayer - Pray for your child and encourage them to pray. Remember, prayer is simply talking to God and listening to Him, so teach your child how to have purposeful quiet time to hear from Him.
  3. Worship - Listen to worship music: whether at home or in the car. Teach them to spend time worshiping Jesus.

God has big plans for your child and we are excited for you! If we can help in any way please contact us and we will gladly assist you!
